On the one hand, physiotherapy with balance training as well as relaxation training are aimed at on a purely physical level in order to train the body specifically against the dizziness.

On the psychological level, psychotherapy should be carried out, in which primarily an exposure to the fear and dizziness inducing situation is aimed for. In addition, the patient should be shown solution strategies to better defuse the situation. This should enable the patient to deal with such situations in a sustainable way without feeling fear and without causing the dizziness symptoms to develop.
