Urethritis (Urethra Inflammation): Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) is an important component in the diagnosis of urethritis (urethritis).

Family history

  • What is the general health of your relatives?
  • Are there frequent urinary tract diseases in your family?

Social history

  • Has there been a recent change in sexual partner?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Have you noticed symptoms such as discharge from the urethra, burning and itching?
  • Do you experience pain when urinating?
  • Do you feel tired?
  • Have you developed a fever?
  • How long have these symptoms been present?

Vegetative anamnesis including nutritional anamnesis.

  • Do you maintain adequate intimate hygiene?
  • Do you have unprotected sexual intercourse?

Self history including medication history.
