Medical history (history of illness) is an important component in the diagnosis of urethritis (urethritis).
Family history
- What is the general health of your relatives?
- Are there frequent urinary tract diseases in your family?
Social history
- Has there been a recent change in sexual partner?
Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).
- Have you noticed symptoms such as discharge from the urethra, burning and itching?
- Do you experience pain when urinating?
- Do you feel tired?
- Have you developed a fever?
- How long have these symptoms been present?
Vegetative anamnesis including nutritional anamnesis.
- Do you maintain adequate intimate hygiene?
- Do you have unprotected sexual intercourse?
Self history including medication history.
- Pre-existing conditions (diseases of the urinary tract, diabetes mellitus, sexually transmitted diseases).
- Surgeries/diagnostic procedures
- Allergies
- Medication history
