1st order laboratory parameters – obligatory laboratory tests.
- Small blood count
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein).
- Urine status (rapid test for: nitrite, protein, hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes) incl. sediment, if necessary urine culture (pathogen detection and resistogram, that is, testing of suitable antibiotics for sensitivity / resistance).
- Microscopy (microhematuria/excretion of blood in urine not visible to the naked eye).
- Proteinuria (increased excretion of protein in the urine).
- Renal parameters – urea, creatinine, possibly cystatin C or creatinine clearance.
- Alkaline phosphatase (AP)
- Total IgE
- Granulocyte cytoplasmic antibody
- Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA).
- Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies with cytoplasmic fluorescence pattern (cANCA).
- Perinuclear antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (pANCA).
- Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA).
- Anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies (anti-GBM-AK).
- Antinuclear antibodies (ANA)
- Auto-Ak against vascular endothelium (AECA).
- Myeloperoxidase specificity
- Biopsies (tissue samples)
Laboratory parameters 2nd order – depending on the results of the history, physical examination and mandatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Exclusion of the following infectious diseases, if necessary:
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
- HIV
- HSV and other infections
- CSF puncture (collection of cerebrospinal fluid by puncture of the spinal canal) for CSF diagnosis.
