Vitamin B12 Ointment

Products

In many countries, the Mavena B12 Ointment is available. It is a medical device.

Structure and properties

The vitamin B12 is contained in the ointment in the form of cyanocobalamin, a dark red crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water. The ointment is therefore pink in color and is also known as “pink ointment” or “pink ointment”.

Effects

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) has local anti-inflammatory properties. It binds to nitric oxides and blocks their proinflammatory effects.

Indications for use

For the external treatment of psoriasis.

Dosage

According to the instructions for use. The ointment is applied several times a day.

Contraindications

The ointment is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity. Full precautions can be found in the package leaflet.

Adverse effects

Possible adverse effects rarely include local reactions such as redness, itching and burning, and hypersensitivity reactions. Stains in clothing can be removed by washing at 30°C or higher.
