Weight Watchers Christmas Menu: Dessert

Christmas the whole family comes together, there is a lot of talking and laughing – and of course eating. Even those who watch their figure want to treat themselves on these special days. However, many typical Christmas meals are high in fat and calories. Thanks to Weight Watchers, however, a delicious Christmas meal is no longer a problem. After all, a fine meal doesn’t automatically have to mean lots of calories and lots of fat.

Baked apple with vanilla sauce

Serves 6:

  • 6 apples (e.g. Jonathan or Boskoop)
  • 4 ladyfingers
  • 4 tsp orange marmalade
  • 2 tsp apple juice
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tsp almond flakes

For the custard:

  • 250 ml low-fat milk
  • 1 sachet vanilla sauce powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons eggnog

Preparation

1. core of apples cut out with an apple corer. Finely crumble ladyfingers and mix with jam, apple juice and cinnamon. Fill the apples with the mixture and place in an oil-brushed baking dish (approx. 25×20 cm). Sprinkle with almond flakes. Bake in the preheated oven at 200° C (gas: level 3, convection oven: 180° C) on the middle shelf for about 25 minutes.

For the vanilla sauce, mix 6 tablespoons of milk with the sauce powder. Bring remaining milk with sugar to a boil. Stir in sauce powder and bring to a boil while stirring. Stir in the egg liqueur. Allow custard to cool to lukewarm, stirring occasionally. Serve together with the baked apple. Preparation time: approx. 25 minutes I Cooking time: approx. 30 minutes

Tip: For children, remove an appropriate portion of custard and stir the eggnog into the rest first.
