Wellness for Home

For years, wellness has been absolutely in vogue, and there is no sign of this boom abating – on the contrary. Since more and more people are exposed to increasing stress and double burdens in everyday life, it is all the more important to treat yourself to small timeouts by means of wellness. But it does not always have to be a cost-intensive arrangement in a Wellness hotel. Wellness can succeed also completely simply at home. The cost expenditure is small here, the care and pampering effect all the greater! We give you tips for the perfect wellness day in your own four walls.

Guiding principle of wellness

Simply leave everyday life and the associated worries behind and treat yourself to the luxury of doing something good for yourself. The central idea of wellness is relaxation. Rest and enjoying time play a major role in wellness treatments, noise and hustle and bustle have no place here. Even if you want to pamper yourself with care arrangements at home, it is important to avoid disturbing factors from the outset. Only then can you really enjoy your wellness program and recharge your batteries. Pampering yourself from head to toe without compromise enhances your quality of life and can positively promote your own health. Why not transform your bathroom into a spa temple? What you need for this? A pleasant light, a sensual scent and a well-tempered climate. You can also create atmosphere through colors in the form of cloths or curtains.

Relaxing in the wellness tub

A wonderful introduction to home wellness can be the descent in your own tub. After all, bathing relaxes the entire muscles of the body. While the water is coming in, you can choose the appropriate music for the background. The rule here is: choose the music that feels good to you at the moment. Whether it’s the sound of the sea, birdsong, classical music, jazz or even rock and faster sounds: what you like and what relaxes you personally is allowed.

The right bath additive

So that you can enjoy your personal spa with all your senses, it is best to choose a bath additive beforehand that just suits your mood. To lift your mood, citrus scents are very good. Roses or vanilla have a sensual scent, while lavender and sandalwood promise a restful sleep. Many bath products are already enriched with aromatic oils, but you can also purchase a basic bath with suitable aromatic oils in the pharmacy, it is then important to follow the recommended amount of aromatic drops.

Sea bath and milk bath

For skin blemishes, an anti-inflammatory sea bath may be suitable. To do this, simply add 500 grams of sea salt to the bath water. However, you should not enjoy the sea bath for more than 15 minutes. Perfect for dry skin is a milk bath, like Cleopatra took. For this you will need:

  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons oil (for example, almond oil, jojoba oil or sunflower oil).

Milk bath soothes irritated skin areas and smoothes the skin.

Care tips for the face

Use the spa day also to pamper your face, because a fresh complexion looks healthy and relaxed. For example, cleanse your face and apply a suitable face mask or pack after exfoliation. A steam bath can also help to open the pores, cleanse the skin and stimulate blood circulation. And here’s how easy it is:

  1. Put a cupful of dried herbs in a bowl.
  2. Pour two liters of boiling water to it.
  3. Clean your face and hold it over the bowl. Put a towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping.
  4. After a few minutes, you can wash your face with warm water.

As an alternative to the steam bath, you can also put compresses with a herbal decoction on your face for ten minutes. To do this, simply overbrew herbs with boiling water and let them steep for ten minutes before straining. Use a small towel as a compress, which you dip in the herbal decoction and then wring out.

Body care: exfoliation and hair treatment

While bathing, you can simply close your eyes and indulge in your thoughts or pass the time with a book. This is followed by body depilation and a body scrub. A rubbing massage with a loofah sponge is the ideal extra care for the abdominal area, as it promotes blood circulation and tightens the skin. Meanwhile, a hair treatment can take effect and provide a healthy shine to the hair.If you don’t have a bathtub, you don’t have to give up your private spa. A refreshing alternating shower can promote blood circulation and with a beguiling scent of the shower additive also provide great well-being. After the spa, be sure to take a rest. It is best to take a comfortable position on the sofa, wrapped up thickly in a bathrobe, and drink a herbal or fruit tea for internal warming.

Foot massage and hand mask

At the same time, you can treat yourself to your own foot massage. To do this, simply use so-called hedgehog balls with massage nubs. The reflex points on the foot are gently stimulated by circling the balls and provide an absolute feeling of well-being. So that everyday damaged and strained hands are transformed into little velvet paws after the wellness, you can now apply a special hand mask and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Depending on how much time you plan for your home wellness, you can either choose a large program or every now and then in between small timeouts.

Refreshment for mind and soul

The wellness program can be completed by light meals such as fruit, vegetables and salad as well as fresh fruit juices. In between, quietly stand by the window from time to time and take a deep breath of fresh air. This refreshes the mind and you will quickly feel fit. After home wellness, your battery will be recharged and you will have enough vigor and drive for new challenges of everyday life.
