Eyes and eye appendages (H00-H59).
- Orbitaphlegmon – diffuse inflammation of orbital tissues; may occur with a facial boil.
Skin and subcutaneous (L00-L99).
- Furunculosis – frequent repetitive occurrence of boils.
- Carbuncle – inflammation of several hair follicles and their surroundings; often in the area of the neck.
- Logen abscess (abscess that continues to spread along anatomical clefts (logens)).
Infectious and parasitic diseases (A00-B99).
- Meningitis (meningitis) – may occur with a facial boil.
- Sepsis (blood poisoning)
Psyche – nervous system (F00-F99; G00-G99)
- Septic sinus cavernosus thrombosis – life-threatening condition associated primarily with impaired consciousness and fever; may occur with a facial boil.
