Is it possible to remove a moustache permanently ?

Before considering how to remove a woman’s beard, the cause of the beard should be clarified so that malignant diseases such as tumours and hormonal disorders can be successfully treated. Within the scope of the therapy, the hair should then also decrease again. If the cause is harmless, e.g. due to genetic predisposition or hormonal changes after menopause, there are nowadays possibilities to remove the moustache permanently.

In beauty salons and some doctors offer the possibility to remove the moustache with a laser. In this case the device generates a great deal of heat via high-energy light radiation, which can destroy the hair roots. Several sessions are necessary to finally remove the moustache. Unfortunately, the laser treatment is especially effective for dark hair, women with very light beards may not be able to benefit from the treatment. Alternatively, there is also the possibility of electro- or needle epilation, in which the hair roots are destroyed with the help of electricity and the moustache cannot grow back.

Household remedy for removing the moustache

Besides the well-known methods of hair removal, there are also simple household remedies that can be used to remove a woman’s beard. With the help of a sugar paste, which you can quickly and easily mix yourself, the annoying hairs in the upper lips and cheek area can be removed. Sugar and lemon juice are used to prepare the sugar paste, which are heated together until the sugar caramelises.

After the sugar paste has cooled down, it can be applied to the lady’s beard and with the help of cotton strips, after a short period of action, it can be peeled off jerkily. This hair removal with the help of simple household products is similar to the method of waxing, but is better and more caring for the sensitive skin. However, even with this method, the hair of the lady’s beard must have an appropriate initial length in order to achieve an optimal result.

Another well-known household remedy for removing a woman’s moustache is cucumber water. By applying fresh cucumber water to the moustache several times a day, the colour pigments are removed, especially from dark hair, so that it appears lighter. The cucumber water only needs to act for 5 minutes and can then be washed out with fresh water.

For women with light hair, lemon juice can be used to bleach the fine hair in the facial area. With dark hair – and skin types, however, no sufficiently positive effect can be achieved. If in some cases it is only individual hairs that are conspicuous or disturbing, conventional tweezers, which are available in every household, can be used for hair removal. In doing so, one should make sure that the hairs to be removed are grasped close to the skin surface with the tweezers and plucked out quickly with a jerk.
