Idrocilamide is commercially available as a cream (Talval). It has been approved in many countries since 1985. Idrocilamide was also available in tablet form in France under the brand name Brolitene, but these are out of commerce.

Effects
Idrocilamide (ATC MO2AX10) has muscle relaxant, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties.
Indications
For local treatment of painful muscle contractures of traumatic or rheumatic origin.
Contraindications
Idrocilamide should not be applied in cases of hypersensitivity, to wounds, mucous membranes, or eczematous skin, and should not be placed in contact with the eyes. It should not be applied to large areas for long periods of time. For complete precautions, see the drug label.

Adverse effects
Possible adverse effects include local redness, rash, and allergic reactions.
