Abdominal pain in men
If the pain occurs in the left lower abdomen, the same causes can be considered as for right lower abdominal pain. In addition, there are other possible causes such as so-called diverticulitis (inflammation of small bulges in the colon due to mostly stuck fecal remains and the associated colonization of bacteria). The pain in the left abdomen is of a burning, pulling and cramp-like character accompanied by flatulence, diarrhea or the opposite constipation. In addition, certain diseases of distant organs can cause pain in the left lower abdomen due to radiation: heart attack, pneumonia, diabetes mellitus or inflammation of the renal pelvis.
