Structure and properties
Acrivastine (C22H24N2O2, Mr = 348.44 g/mol) is a derivative of the antihistamine triprolidine (not commercially available). It exists as an odorless, white, crystalline powder that is somewhat sparse in water. Acrivastine belongs to the alkylamine antihistamines.
Effects
Acrivastine (ATC R06AX18) has antihistamine and antiallergic properties. The effects are due to competitive antagonism at histamine H1 receptors.
