The following symptoms and complaints may indicate aplastic anemia:
- Increased bleeding tendency, manifested by increased hematoma formation (bruising), bleeding gums, or prolongation of menstrual periods
- Fatigue
- General weakness
- Shortness of breath
- Ringing in the ears
- Infections (occur overall rather rarely as the first symptom).
