However, what should not be underestimated is the independent oil secretion of the Montgomery glands that surround the areola. Already at the beginning of the pregnancy these begin to work and produce protective oils that give the nipple the necessary care.
Basically, this should be sufficient as care for the nipples during pregnancy. However, if strong complaints occur which require additional treatment, only fragrance-free, natural products should be used.
