Clexane during pregnancy
Pregnancy is an exceptional situation for the maternal body. Both positive and negative effects of pregnancy are possible. A thrombophilic tendency during pregnancy can be considered a negative effect.
This means that blood clots are more likely to form. In the case of other risk factors and existing underlying diseases a therapy with Clexane® may therefore be necessary. Even an anticoagulant therapy that was already in place before pregnancy must be continued during pregnancy.
Even pregnancies that have to be spent predominantly lying down must be accompanied by anticoagulant therapy. However, not every active substance is approved and suitable for pregnancy. Price
Prices for Clexane® injection solutions and ready-to-use syringes vary according to dosage and number. In general, larger quantities are cheaper compared to smaller quantities, calculated on the number of units. Prices may also vary slightly from supplier to supplier, so the prices quoted here are indicative only.
Furthermore, the prices refer to private recipes. In the case of panel prescriptions, the private costs for the medicine are not applicable. The price for 50 pre-filled syringes containing the active ingredient Clexane® 40 is about 300 euros, for 20 pre-filled syringes it is about 130 euros and for 10 syringes about 70 euros.
The smallest quantity is 2 pre-filled syringes and costs about 30 euros. Clexane® 20 ready-to-use syringes are more cost-effective overall due to the lower dosage of active ingredient. For example, the cost of 50 ready-to-use syringes is around 160 euros and that of 20 ready-to-use syringes is around 70 euros. For 10 ready-to-use syringes, this dosage costs 30 euros.
Storage
Clexane® should only be used until the expiry date stated on the original packaging. After this date the medication must be disposed of. Clexane® should be stored at room temperature (between 15 and 25 °C).
Storage in a refrigerator is not recommended. In addition, the active ingredient should not be stored under direct light or sunlight. Clexane® must not be frozen or heated up to high temperatures.
