Complete Urologic Screening

Complete urological screening includes cancer screening of the kidney and bladder for both men and women.

For men, the prostate, testicles, penis and ureter are also examined.

Complete urological screening for women includes ultrasound examinations of the kidney and bladder.

It is used for the early detection of cancers at a stage that can still be cured and thus makes a significant contribution to maintaining health and well-being.

In addition to ultrasound examinations of the kidney and bladder, complete urological screening for men includes palpation of the prostate, an ultrasound of the prostate – transrectal prostate sonography – and examination of the penis, testicles and ureter.

The prostate-specific antigen, the so-called PSA value, is also determined by a blood sample as part of the complete urological check-up, as this can indicate prostate cancer.

Furthermore, a comprehensive urine examination is also part of the complete urological check-up for both men and women. For example, blood in the urine is not necessarily visible, but can be an important indicator of bladder, ureter or kidney cancer.

Your chances of recovery increase many times over with early diagnosis, and you will feel more confident after complete urologic screening.
