Contraindications

Beofenac® must not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or other active substances from the group of NSAIDs and acetylsalicylic acid (ASS, e.g. Aspirin ®). Nor may it be used in: Beofenac® may only be used with caution and prior risk-benefit analysis in patients with: and in patients who generally do not excrete fluids well, i.e. who have a tendency to fluid retention and/or have to take water tablets (diuretics). Furthermore Beofenac® is absolutely contraindicated in the last 3 months of pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

In the first 6 months of pregnancy it should only be used after careful consideration of the benefits and risks. For the treatment of children under 18 years of age with Beofenac ® there is no sufficient information available yet, it should not be used here. – severe functional disorders of the liver or kidneys,

  • Acute bleeding,
  • Ulcers (ulcus / ulcera) in the stomach or intestine and
  • Severe heart muscle weakness (cardiac insufficiency). – Cerebral haemorrhage (cerebrovascular haemorrhage) in the previous history,
  • Gastrointestinal disorders,
  • Known blood formation or blood clotting disorders,

Costs

Beofenac® is available as tablets with a dose of 100 mg per tablet. 20 tablets cost about 16 euros on a private prescription, 50 tablets about 24 euros and 100 tablets about 36 euros. If you have a prescription from the health insurance company, 20 tablets of Beofenac® cost about eight euros, 50 tablets about 14 euros and 100 tablets about 23 euros.
