Duoball | Blackroll: Fascial Roller

Duoball

Alternatively or in addition to the classic Blackroll, there is now the so-called Duoball. Two polystyrene balls attached to each other with their recess in the middle offer an optimal self-massage product for back and neck. The spine is thus located in the recess and soft tissue structures are reached more comfortably. Blackroll offers the Duoball roll in two different sizes (8 and 12cm diameter). The large roll is more suitable for the back and the small one for the neck, but can also be used on other parts of the body.

Fascial Training

In order to keep the fasciae in the body supple, there is not only the fascia roller but also a special fascia training. The exercises are holistic, large movements, many repetitions, stressing whole muscle chains instead of just individual muscles. Fascial training includes stretching exercises, exercises for the promotion of elasticity, tissue relaxation, fine tuning, strengthening of the chains, … An optimal whole body training for everyone. Fascial training is increasingly offered for groups, individual exercises are used in therapies or added to the training of sports groups.

Exercises for neck

To treat the neck with the Blackroll, the small Duoball is particularly suitable – however, the exercises can be performed on both rolls. 1.) In supine position, the legs are upright, the roll lies under the neck.

Now roll up and down in small slow movements. By shifting the body weight the pressure intensity can be dosed by yourself. Alternatively, the exercise can be performed while standing on a wall.

2.) For another exercise, also in supine position, the roll is placed in the upper neck at the end of the skull bone. The head lies relaxed and is first turned slowly to the right and left, then tilted up and down like a nodding movement. After a few repetitions, the roll is moved a little further down and the same movements are performed again. The practical and handy size of the small roll makes it easy to take it with you to the office or to your workplace and use it as compensation during short breaks.
