Duration of diarrhea after sport
The duration of diarrhea after sport varies greatly between individuals and depends strongly on the level of training as well as intensity and duration of exercise. Basically, diarrhea is defined as thin stool with a stool frequency of at least 3 times a day. In some recreational athletes, the symptoms only occur in the context of unusual sporting overload and disappear completely after a few hours.
Other endurance athletes regularly suffer from diarrhoea and accompanying symptoms after training. With the above-mentioned treatment strategies, diarrhea after sport can be contained in many cases.
