Duration of hot flashes during pregnancy
Hot flushes during pregnancy usually last only for a short time. However, they can occur very often during the day. Especially in the warm summer months, the feeling of heat is constantly present in pregnant women, so the hot flushes can occur even more frequently than in cooler seasons. For many, hot flushes begin in the second trimester of pregnancy and often subside after birth. Occasionally, hot flushes persist during the breastfeeding period, but after that they usually disappear completely.
Can hot flashes also be a sign of pregnancy?
Hot flushes could occasionally be a sign of pregnancy. Typically, the heavy sweating does not occur until the advanced stages of pregnancy, but hot flashes are noticeable in some women at the beginning of pregnancy. Especially if there is additional nausea and vomiting without any apparent reason, hot flushes can also be a sign of pregnancy.
