Medical history (history of illness) is an important component in the diagnosis of endometritis (inflammation of the endometrium/muscular layer of the uterus).
Current anamnesis/systemic anamnesis (somatic and psychological complaints).
- Is the period regular? Prelubrication? Relubrication?
- Doesintermittent bleeding occur? When?
- Do you have lower abdominal pain (cramps, constant pain, load-dependent,digestion-dependent?).
- Burning when urinating? Diarrhea? Constipation?
- Pain and bleedingduring or after intercourse?
- Do they have discharge? Color? Odor (eg, fishy?),it increases after intercourse?
- Intense, frequent sexual intercourse?Special sexual practices?
- Is there evidence of hypothermia?
Self-history
- Past medical history: Condition following adnexitis,endometritis, pelveoperitonitis, pyelonephritis, cystitis.
- Surgeries: Condition after curettage, hysteroscopy or other operations on the uterus and theAdnexa or in the lower abdomen.
- Pregnancies: Condition afterabortion, abruptio, premature birth, sectio, endometritis post partum.
