Fields of activity

The fields of application of physiotherapy and physiotherapy mentioned in the following section contain only a selection of the most common clinical pictures. Orthopaedics: non-surgical (= conservative orthopaedics) Orthopaedic surgery: surgical procedures Neurology: paediatrics = paediatrics Pain therapy:concerns various fields of medicine Internal medicine: gynaecologyUrology: psychiatryPsychosomatic disorders: Sports PhysiotherapySports Medicine: Prevention: Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation serves to regain and secure the best possible physical and mental abilities. It can be carried out directly after an acute event (e.g. operation, stroke) or at a later date.Following rehabilitation, the patient should be able to resume his or her place in society and work as independently as possible and possibly learn to live with chronic diseases or disabilities in the long term.

  • Back pain caused by functional disorders (no permanent changes) of the musculoskeletal system after incorrect or excessive strain and/or lack of movement
  • Permanent (=structural) changes in the skeletal and muscle system, such as spinal curvature, foot deformities, intervertebral disc problems, wear (arthrosis), etc.
  • Painful movement restrictions of the spinal column or extremities after an accident or with rheumatic diseases
