The allergic reaction to apple is an acute reaction of the immune system and therefore the course is usually not very long. The duration depends on the severity of the reaction and how well the patient responds to the medication. The reactions on the mucous membrane should disappear within a few days with appropriate treatment.
In severe cases with obstruction of the airways, the symptoms improve quickly after administration of adrenaline and a spray that widens the airways. An allergy cannot yet be cured. Although there are procedures such as hyposensitization, these cannot be used for every allergy. However, they can help about 66% of patients to stop the allergy in the long term.
