Healing time

The healing time is a very flexible time indication, but it correlates with the extent of tissue damage, the presence of a hematoma, as well as the patient’s general condition and nutritional state, and other factors. Avoiding strong to moderate sunlight can have a positive influence on the healing process. Depending on the patient’s adherence to rest, cold application, as well as the intake of anti-inflammatory drugs, the duration of healing may vary.

Roughly speaking, a period of one week for mild contusions can be assumed, up to 2-3 weeks for moderate injuries. If the injury is severe with possible scarring under the closed layer of skin, the healing process may take up to one month.
