History of Clearblue
Published in 1985 by Unilever, the first home pregnancy test under the brand name Clearblue® promised a result in 3 steps within 30 minutes. Only 3 years later, a pregnancy test was launched on the market that gave a result in just one step and within 3 minutes and already used the familiar blue line for display. In 1996 Clearblue® again launched a renewal with a pregnancy test that took only 1 minute to give a result.
To avoid confusion and misreading, the Clearblue® Pregnancy Test has since 2003 had a digital display showing whether you are pregnant or not. Since 2008, there has also been an additional test that also shows the weeks since fertilisation.
