Homeopathic medicines
The following homeopathic remedies are suitable for hives:
- Sodium muriaticum (common salt)
- Phosphorus (Yellow Phosphorus)
- Sullfur (Purified sulfur)
- Calcium carbonicum (oyster shell limestone)
Sodium muriaticum (common salt)
Typical dosage of Natrium muriaticum (table salt) for hives: Tablets D6 and D12
- Patients who freeze a lot, harsh, closed to themselves
- Encouragement and comfort makes them angry
- Skin oily, especially on the forehead-hairline
- General aggravation of the complaints lies in the time around 11 o’clock in the morning
- Desire for salted food, much thirst
- Skin rash often caused by sun at the sea, fish, mussels, crabs
- Consider psychological conflicts as triggers.
Phosphorus (Yellow Phosphorus)
Prescription only up to and including D3! Typical dosage of Phosphorus (yellow phosphorus) for hives: Tablets D6 and D12
- Skin rashes after eating fish (often there is a general aversion to fish) or after sunbathing
- Light-skinned, blond people. Pain is burning and gets worse in the evening and at night
- Cold is badly tolerated
- Nervous hyperexcitability (cannot sit or stand still for a moment), improvement through rest and sleep
- May also be indicated for skin rashes after taking penicillin
Sullfur (Purified sulfur)
Typical dosage of Sullfur (purified sulfur) for hives: Tablets D6 and D12
- Fresh red wheals to reduce itching and burning in patients with rough, blemished skin and a tendency to pus
- Strong itching that increases in the bed heat and turns into burning through scratching
- Skin rash is often caused by substances that are not tolerated by the skin (contact allergy) or drugs that cause an allergic rash
Calcium carbonicum (oyster shell limestone)
Typical dosage of Calcium carbonicum (oyster shell limestone) for hives: Tablets D6 and D12
- Skin rashes after consumption of milk
- Often nodular rash, weeping and improving in cool outdoor air
- In general, however, all complaints become worse through cold and wet and through exertion
- Cold, sweaty feet
