Remove warts on the foot
Foot warts usually belong to the genus of the plantar warts, which often cause severe pain. The pain occurs mainly under stress, for example when walking. For this reason, treatment is almost always necessary.
As with other types of warts, treatment with salicylic acid produces good results. On the foot the acid is mostly used as a plaster. Icing of the wart, either by the family doctor or at home, also promises quick relief of the symptoms.
Warts on the foot are dabbed with liquid nitrogen using an applicator, the wart tissue is damaged in this way and after a few days the dead horny layers fall off by themselves. In some cases, foot warts are very persistent or recur repeatedly, so that surgical removal or laser treatment is necessary. In this case, a small wound develops on the foot, which is sutured or sclerosed with electricity during surgical removal, while laser treatment only requires cooling.
After both procedures, however, the foot should be spared at least for a short time. As with other types of warts, home remedies such as tea tree oil or aloe vera are sometimes used to treat thorn warts. However, their effect has not been proven in this case either. In case of doubt, the wart treatment should always be carried out by a doctor to prevent consequential damage or a return of the wart (recurrence).
