Schuessler Salts: the 12 Main Salts

Schüßler salts are mainly taken for self-treatment. For this, you must either have a clear symptoms or observe yourself very closely on the basis of physical characteristics to find the appropriate salt. No. 1 Calcium fluoratum (calcium fluoride).

“The elasticity promoter”: Callus formation, splintering fingernails, slackening of tissues, anal eczema, varicose veins, hemorrhoids and hardening of the veins.

No. 2 Calcium phosphoricum (calcium phosphate).

“The cell renewer.” Disorders of tooth and bone formation, poorly healing bone fractures. In combination with No. 8 for the recovery phase after survived diseases.

No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum (iron phosphate).

“The anti-inflammatory”: main remedy in the first stage of all inflammations and in fresh wounds, bruises, sprains, bleeding and pulsating pains.

No. 4 potassium chloratum (potassium chloride).

“The mucous membrane strengthener”: inflammations in the “second stage”, in white-gray coating of the tongue, tonsillitis, measles, mumps, hoarseness, middle ear catarrh, eye inflammation, joint swelling, tendovaginitis.

No. 5 Kalium phosphoricum (potassium phosphate).

“The energizer”: restlessness, insomnia, states of exhaustion of the body and mind, weakness of memory, weakness of the heart, weakness of muscles and feeling of paralysis.

No. 6 Kalium sulfuricum (potassium sulfate).

“The Mucus Inhibitor.” In the “third” stage of inflammation, catarrh (yellowish-mucous) like runny nose; promotes desquamation after measles, scarlet fever and rubella.

No. 7 Magnesium phosphoricum (magnesium phosphate).

“The cramp reliever”: tendency to cramp such as heart cramp, stomach cramp, bladder cramp, calf cramp, menstrual cramps. Also used for gastric, biliary and renal colic.

No. 8 Natrium chloratum (sodium chloride, table salt).

“The water balance regulator”: Anemia, lacrimation and salivation, watery nasal catarrh, sensitivity to cold, cold sores, dandruff, dry skin.

No. 9 Natrium phosphoricum (sodium phosphate).

“The acid inhibitor”: heartburn, rheumatism, sciatica, chronic fatigue, acne, blackheads, diaper dermatitis, heartburn, ravenous appetite, gastritis and after fatty meal.

No. 10 Natrium sulfuricum (sodium sulfate).

“The purifying power”: colds, flu, puffy eyes, constipation, diarrhea, rheumatism, psoriasis, neurodermatitis, poisoning headache (hangover), fever blisters.

No. 11 Silicea (silicic acid).
