Skin rash
Pollen, which causes hay fever in many allergy sufferers, does not only enter the body via the respiratory tract. They can also attach themselves to the skin and enter the body in this way. The consequences are skin rashes, severe itching and drying of the skin.
The body defends itself against the pollen on the skin and various immune cells are released. However, due to the excessive reaction of the immune system to the pollen, too many cells are released, which causes itching and skin rash. Good skin care can strengthen the skin barrier and thus reduce the body’s reaction.
Hives are the result of hives, which in allergy sufferers can be triggered by various substances. For example, hives also occur in many people as a result of hay fever. Hives are many small blisters that suddenly appear on the skin.
Their appearance is triggered by the contact of the body or the immune system with pollen. Further symptoms are redness around the hives. In addition, severe itching occurs. For treatment, one allergy tablet is usually sufficient. This tablet contains the active ingredient that inhibits histamine and thus counteracts the excessive reaction of the immune system.
Tiredness
Hay fever is limited to a certain period of the year for most people affected. During this period, different pollen fly, which causes a strong immune reaction of the body. Due to the immune response, the body is permanently on the alert and produces an excessive number of immune cells.
Other bodily functions such as the cardiovascular system are also activated. In addition, other hormones are also released in increased quantities. As a result, the body consumes an excessive amount of energy, which leads to a drop in performance, concentration difficulties and general fatigue.
Particularly noticeable is the pronounced daytime tiredness. Other symptoms of the allergy, such as a runny nose, watery eyes and difficult breathing, further increase this tiredness. Headaches, which can also be triggered by hay fever, also contribute to the feeling of tiredness.
The tiredness disappears after the pollen, to which the body reacts strongly, no longer flies through the air. The body still has to recover first, the immune cells produced have to be broken down. Then the body lowers its alarm again, so that it is recovered after a few days.
