2nd-order laboratory parameters-depending on the results of the history, physical examination, and obligatory laboratory parameters-for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Small blood count
- Fasting glucose (fasting blood glucose)
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
- Urine status (rapid test for: pH, leukocytes, nitrite, protein, glucose, blood), sediment, if necessary urine culture (pathogen detection and resistogram, that is, testing of suitable antibiotics for sensitivity / resistance).
- Renal parameters – urea, creatinine, if necessary cystatin C or creatinine clearance.
- PSA (prostate specific antigen) – if prostate cancer (prostate cancer) is suspected.
- Thin-layer cytology – to exclude cervical carcinoma (cervical cancer).
