Vitamin B complex against nerve pain and nerve damage
With the therapy of nerve pain above all vitamin B1, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 can obtain a lindernde effect. On the one hand, it is possible that nerve pain may occur due to a deficiency of these vitamins, and on the other hand, the B vitamins can also be helpful for nerve pain that is not caused by a vitamin deficiency. Thiamine (vitamin B1) in particular can lead to pain, tingling, sensation and numbness.
A vitamin B1 deficiency is more common in cases of long-term alcohol abuse. These three B vitamins in particular can inhibit the transmission of pain to nerve cells or raise the pain threshold at which pain is also perceived as pain. In addition, the vitamins are able to positively influence the repair of damaged nerve cells to a certain degree. These preparations are used above all for nerve pain in tumor patients, sometimes for headaches, for damage to nerves such as those found in diabetic foot, but also for bone pain or arthritis.
