About 20% of all women suffer from increased hair on the upper lip and cheeks. Since a woman’s beard is not only a cosmetic blemish, but can also lead to a strong feeling of discomfort and psychological stress for many affected women, there are many different methods available for the removal of the annoying hair. The bleaching of a woman’s moustache is a quick and easy way to decolorize the fine hair and thus conceal it. During bleaching, the dye is removed from the dark hairs, so that they are decoloured and lightened, so to speak. The application is only suitable for women whose facial hair has a darker colour, as no effect is visible on particularly fine and light hair.
Home remedy for bleaching the moustache
A household remedy that is often used to bleach a lady’s beard is cucumber water. It can be applied several times a day and removes the colour pigment from the hair of the moustache. After application, the cucumber water must be allowed to work for about 5 minutes until it can be washed off with cold water.
The previously very dark hairs of the lady’s beard appear significantly lighter after repeated application. The application of chamomile extract can also lead to a lightening of the hair. Another frequently used household remedy for bleaching the annoying lady’s beard is
Bleaching with lemon juice
The lemon can be used as a natural agent for bleaching a woman’s beard. You need a few commercially available lemons, cut them in half and squeeze them out to obtain the pure fruit juice. The lemon juice should be slightly diluted with water and then applied to the hairs to be removed.
After a short period of time the lemon juice can be washed off with clear, cold water. The lemon juice also causes the hair pores to widen and brightens the hair. However, the effect is not as strong as with chemical bleaching agents, so that especially dark hair with a high colour enrichment in most cases shows only an extremely small effect.
Mustache waxing
The waxing of a lady’s beard is an alternative to bleaching. In contrast to bleaching, waxing removes the hair completely, including the root. A distinction can be made between cold wax strips and a method using warm wax.
There are special wax strips for the removal of a woman’s moustache, which are particularly suitable for hair removal in the facial area, as they can optimally adapt to the contours of the skin above the upper lip and thus guarantee effective hair removal. Warm wax is even more suitable for hair removal in the facial area than cold wax strips for hair removal, as it can adapt even better to the contours of the face and can surround the hair particularly well during the application time. The warm wax is available in every drugstore.
Before use, it must be warmed and melted so that it can then be carefully applied to the hairy areas of the upper lip. After a short period of application, during which the wax cools and hardens, it can be removed with a quick and jerky pull. An advantage of the warm wax method is the widening of the skin pores, which is caused by the heat applied.
This makes it easier and less painful to remove the hair. In order to achieve an even better result, the area of skin to be depilated should be well cleaned and cared for beforehand so that the wax can surround the hair sufficiently. In total, the effect lasts about 4 – 6 weeks.
