Who bears the costs of the U7?
The U7 examination is an early detection examination that is covered by health insurance companies. However, if the examination is carried out outside of the intended period of life (21-24 months of age), it is possible that the health insurance companies have billing problems and no longer want to cover the full costs.
How long does the U7 examination take?
The examination itself should be thorough and takes on average between 15 and 30 minutes. In the U7 examination, the child is at an age when he or she is often alienated and screams in eerie situations. This can of course prolong the duration of the examination. For this reason, and also to have enough time for possible questions, you should plan a generous period of time in your diary for the U7 examination.
