Tebonin

Introduction

Tebonin® tablets contain leaves of the ginkgo-biloba tree in the form of a dry extract as the active ingredient. Tebonin® is used for memory and concentration disorders, as well as for dizziness and ringing in the ears. Tebonin® is produced from the leaves of the Ginkgo-biloba tree.

The leaves are usually used in the form of a dry extract. The production of this dry extract requires a complex process. Ginkgo trees grow in their natural, original form only in certain parts of China.

In many other countries, however, they are cultivated on large plantations. Tebonin® is therefore a herbal medicine and is available in the form of tablets or drops in different dosages. It is available over the counter from pharmacies.

Tebonin® is used for numerous complaints. Ginkgo has a blood circulation-promoting effect and a positive influence on memory and concentration. The areas of application of Tebonin® can be derived from these properties. The circulation-promoting effect has a positive influence on circulatory disorders of the legs (pAVK – peripheral arterial occlusive disease), but also in certain forms of ringing in the ears or dizziness, which are based on a circulatory disorder. Ginkgo can also be used in cases of decreasing concentration or slight memory disorders.

Dosage and duration of use

The dosage and duration of use vary depending on the symptoms of the disease you want to treat. High-dose therapy is recommended to improve memory. For this purpose, about 240 mg Tebonin® should be taken.

The first improvements in memory performance occur after about 2-4 weeks. For tinnitus, the recommended daily dose is slightly lower at about 120-240 mg. In this case, the tablets should be taken over a period of about 3 months.

120-240 mg should also be taken when treating dizziness. However, the difference in therapy is that the dose should be divided between two times a day. Here too, the first improvements appear again after about 2-4 weeks. In the case of peripheral arterial occlusive disease, improvement in walking distance can only occur if the dose is taken for at least 6 weeks.
