2nd order laboratory parameters – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, etc. – for differential diagnostic clarification
- Small blood count
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
- Urethral swab (urethral swab) – for fluor urethrales (urethral discharge) or suspected urethritis (urethritis).
- Vaginal / endocervical smear – for fluor vaginalis (vaginal discharge) or fluor cervicalis (discharge from the cervical canal / cervical canal).
- Infectious serology – in case of suspected venereal disease (sexually transmitted disease; see under the respective diagnosis).
