Fields of application
The homeopathic remedy Aluminia is mainly used for constipation and dryness of all kinds. These include constipation in the bowel, problems with urination and cycle disorders in women. In the area of the face and head, Aluminia can help against dry mucous membranes of the mouth and bleeding gums as well as dryness of the eyes. Another area of application is jaw pain. Aluminia is also used for more neuropsychological problems such as sleep disorders (also in children) as well as generalized anxiety and phobias.
Disease-oriented application
Concrete illnesses that indicate the use of Aluminia are above all Besides, Aluminia can help women of all ages who have weak and delayed menstruation, but are exceptionally exhausted during and shortly after menstruation. All diseases that can be treated with Aluminia are caused by a dry body or a disturbed water balance, including nervous problems: Here the dryness disturbs the proper transmission of stimuli. Depending on the severity of the symptoms and diseases, high potencies and regular intake of the medicine can sometimes be useful.

As this is a form of “being too dry”, the application of Aluminia is obvious. Constipation can be caused by a hard, firm consistency of the stool. However, a softer consistency is also possible, but this still requires a lot of pressing during bowel movement.
This can be the case, for example, with a sluggish bowel. The urge to defecate usually announces itself long before the actual need arises, for example through left lower abdominal pain. In both cases, however, the use of Aluminia can be helpful.
Symptom-oriented application
The main symptoms are general signs of dryness and dehydration, such as dry, cracked and itchy skin, little urge to urinate, little perspiration and a dry mouth. In more extreme cases, neurological (nervous) symptoms can also occur, for example, confusion or concentration problems. Furthermore, a corresponding person can make himself or herself noticeable by coughing, especially dry or chronic cough.
In general, the person is susceptible to colds and often falls ill with them. A sensitive and easily irritable throat can also be a sign of an aluminia person. Another noticeable sign of Aluminia is the person’s craving for dry, sometimes even indigestible things like chalk, coffee beans or uncooked rice. The symptoms of Aluminia become worse when the room and bed are heated, as well as with tobacco smoke, dry weather and physical exertion. Women experience a worsening of the symptoms after menstruation, which in Aluminia persons is weak, but is still equivalent to physical exertion.
