Are there any useful apps that I can use to train in my gym?
Yes, there are already a lot of these apps. While it makes sense for endurance athletes in particular to wear a heart rate sensor during exercise, this is not necessarily relevant for pure strength exercises. With the help of apps, the data recorded by a fitness tracker or pulse sensor during training can be read out and the training analyzed.
For example, if lactate values were determined in advance in combination with heart rate, heart rate can be used to roughly tell which aspect of your endurance you are currently training. Timers can be another useful addition. These are not just simple stopwatches, but alarm clocks, which for example also announce a new lap at defined intervals, announce the start of a lap by signals, etc.
Besides the app for the evaluation of the pulse sensor, a kind of “fitness diary” also makes sense. This does not necessarily have to be kept as an app, but can also be created as a notebook. However, many apps offer the advantage that they can quickly calculate down maximum values and you can quickly and easily search for specific keywords. Some apps also offer the possibility to suggest workouts that you can complete. This topic might also be of interest to you: Fitness bracelet
What should the floor covering in a fitness room be like?
The answer to this question is again based on the demands and the exercises to be performed by the trainee. In principle, it is recommended that the floor be lined with hard rubber mats. If the barbell has to be thrown off due to too heavy weight or something falls to the ground, these mats catch the fall and protect the flooring. For other exercises – mainly in the field of weightlifting – it is recommended to have a solid base to stand on stable feet when the weight is moved. There are special deadlift platforms for this purpose, but with a little craftsmanship they can also be built by the user.
