Medical history (history of illness) is an important component in the diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).

Social anamnesis

Current medical history/systemic medical history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Have you noticed any changes such as fatigue, pallor, or general feeling of illness?
  • Have you noticed an increased tendency to bleed?*
  • Do you have shortness of breath?*
  • Do you have a fever or other signs of infection?
  • Do you suffer from night sweats?
  • Have you noticed any lymph node swelling(s)?* If so, are they painful?
  • Do you suffer from itching?
  • Do you have upper abdominal discomfort?

Vegetative anamnesis including nutritional anamnesis.

  • Are you overweight? Please tell us your body weight (in kg) and height (in cm).
  • Has your appetite changed?
  • Have you lost body weight unintentionally?
  • Do you smoke? If so, how many cigarettes, cigars or pipes per day?
  • Do you drink alcohol? If yes, what drink(s) and how many glasses per day?
  • Do you use drugs? If yes, what drugs and how often per day or per week?
