Contraindications
If allergic reactions and hypersensitivities are detected during use, the substance should be washed off with soap and should not be used again. Even if no consequences have been recognised so far, pregnant women should avoid Autan® as a precaution. The same applies to children under two years of age. Autan® should not be applied to damaged skin areas that may occur after injury or sunburn.
Interactions
So far, only DEET has shown interaction with plastic. However, this is not known for the current active ingredient Icaridin. No other interactions have occurred to date.
