Diets: Which Diets are there?

The popular saying goes, “Food and drink keep body and soul together,” and the popular saying is right! Eating and drinking are among the most enjoyable pleasures of our lives.

In addition to pleasure, our food should also provide us with everything necessary to sustain our lives – nutrients such as protein, fats and carbohydrates, as well as vital substances (micronutrients) such as vitamins, minerals and trace elements. These nutrients and vital substances (macro- and micronutrients) are necessary for the smooth running of all internal processes in our body. Therefore, a balanced diet that provides us with these substances in sufficient quantities and in harmonious proportions is indispensable for maintaining our health.

Unfortunately, despite a rich supply of food, our common diet is not balanced enough and thus becomes a health risk that should not be underestimated.

We often eat too much of the wrong and too little of the right!
