Duration of osteopathy

Osteopathy is used to loosen the blocked IS joint and treat the tilted joint surfaces. The osteopath can localize the blockage with his hands and treat it with targeted hand movements. The aim of the therapy is to increase the mobility of the joint and thus permanently release the blockage. For the majority of patients, one session is often sufficient to release the acute blockage and relieve the pain.

Duration of the release of an ISG blockade

An acute blockage of the ISG can be released relatively easily and quickly by a physiotherapist or osteopath and improvement occurs quickly after treatment. Nevertheless, it is recommended to do further physiotherapy in order to avoid possible relapses. Often, underdeveloped muscles and weak ligaments in the pelvic area are the cause of an ISG blockage. For this reason, it is important to strengthen these structures in order to remain permanently free of complaints.
