Epiglottis pain
It is often difficult to localize epiglottis pain precisely. Often affected persons have pain when swallowing. Laryngeal pain when speaking can also occur. In most cases the pain is epiglottitis or epiglottitis.
In most cases this occurs in connection with shortness of breath. In addition to bacterial epiglottitis, non-bacterial epiglottitis can also be the cause of pain. Furthermore, swallowing difficulties and pain in the epiglottis may indicate diphtheria.
In diphtheria, however, there are some other symptoms (coating on the throat wall, severely swollen lymph nodes on the neck, barking cough) that are very characteristic. A painful swelling of the epiglottis can also occur in the case of burns and burns of the throat. This causes severe swelling of the mucous membranes, which can become life-threatening.
