- How long has the hoarseness been present? Has it changed? Become stronger?
- Do other symptoms such as fever or lymph node enlargement occur in addition to hoarseness?
- Do you have shortness of breath?*
- Do you suffer from dysphagia?
- Do you have headaches?
- Have you had a cold recently/are you currently having a cold?
Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.
- Is your voice frequently overloaded?
- Do you smoke? If so, how many cigarettes, cigars or pipes per day?
- Do you drink alcohol? If yes, what drink(s) and how many glasses per day?
- Do you use drugs? If yes, what drugs and how often per day or per week?
Self history incl. medication history.
- Pre-existing conditions (respiratory diseases; reflux disease (heartburn); thyroid disease).
