Mammography
In mammography, a special X-ray examination of the breasts, it is mainly so-called micro calcification foci, which are visible as soft spots on the X-ray image, that indicate a malignant event. This micro calcification can be an expression of tissue remodeling or a scarring process of the tissue or also of a growing tumor. In order to be able to actually assess the malignancy, a biopsy of the breast must be performed. .
