- Creams for eye care should not be applied to the eyelashes. This can make mascara on the eyelashes no longer hold properly.
- Any mascara should be discarded after 3 to 6 months or as soon as it crumbles or smells unpleasant. The maximum shelf life is usually noted on the mascara.
