Prevention
Acute bronchitis cannot be avoided and is a regular clinical picture during the winter months. However, as this disease is relatively easy to limit itself, no preventive measures are usually possible. The most effective preventive measure for COPD is to refrain from smoking and to avoid exposure to fine dust at the workplace. Patients suffering from COPD are given preventive vaccinations and antibiotics as well as physiotherapy and other rehabilitation measures to avoid acute deterioration of lung function.
