Principles of health sports

  • In order to achieve the health-promoting aspects of sport, the stress stimuli must be optimally set. In accordance with the training principle of the optimal stress stimulus, care must be taken with regard to health that the stress levels are not too high. In addition, the body should be given sufficient time to regenerate.

    (supercompensation)

  • Always adapt the training to the individual requirements (age, physical condition).
  • Sometimes less is more. In case of illness, skip the training. Always cure injuries.
  • Always increase the circumference before the intensity.

    Rather run longer than faster.

  • At an older age, always consult a sports doctor first.
  • Pay attention to the correct equipment. Proper footwear is especially important for running.
  • Sport is healthy if it is done regularly. Consequently, you should look for health-promoting sports that you enjoy, at least not reluctantly. If necessary, change the sports more often.
  • Take your time.Adaptation symptoms of the organism do not happen overnight. Aerobic endurance is at the heart of health sports and takes up a lot of time, both in training and in preparation and follow-up.

Why do sports?

In view of the fact that regular exercise not only increases physical performance and physical well-being, but also increases life expectancy and strengthens the immune system, the question of frequent abstinence from sport is very difficult to understand. A drug that has the same effects as regular endurance training would be invaluable. However, despite low effort and low cost, there are only a small number of people who specifically promote their health through sport.

But what is the reason for this phenomenon? In an age of growing boredom, trivially less and less time is left for regular sport. The real reason for the growing abstinence from sports is the attitude towards life that has become established in the minds of many people.

To achieve as much as possible and as quickly as possible with as little effort as possible. This basic idea is contrary to every sports model. Only those who learn to work hard for their success will accept long-term training to achieve their goals.

Without effort, even a health-oriented sport, at least at the beginning, is not conceivable. This “exertion” must first be learned anew. Whoever is aware of this, is one step closer to his health.
