Prognosis
As different as the causes of swallowing problems can be, so different is the healing time. In the case of a common cold, one is free of symptoms after a few days, in the case of a treated tonsillitis within a week at the latest. However, some illnesses, such as a stroke, require years of rehabilitation training and can still cause complaints long after the operation. Often, however, a change to another medication or traditional home remedies can help to achieve freedom from symptoms.
