In order to prevent the development of tendosynovitis of the wrist, one should make sure to take regular breaks when performing monotonous activities. Tendinitis caused by sports can be prevented by extensive warming up and stretching. To prevent computer-related tendinitis of the wrist, a flat keyboard should be used so that the wrists do not have to be bent too much.

This can also be achieved by using a pad or cushion in front of the keyboard. An ergonomically shaped mouse helps to avoid irritating the tendon sheaths too much. In addition, regular breaks with wrist movements help to relieve the tendon sheaths in between.
