Raynaud’s Syndrome: Diagnostic Tests

Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, laboratory diagnostics, and obligatory medical device diagnostics – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • Magnetic resonance imaging angiography (MR angiography).
  • Color duplex sonography (vascular ultrasound) – ultrasound examination of the vessels (arteries, veins), with which the direction of blood flow in relation to the transducer is displayed in red or blue color; this allows blood flow in arteries to be distinguished from that in veins; the procedure enables statements to be made about the presence and extent of circulatory disorders
  • Capillary microscopy – when morphological capillary abnormalities are suspected (secondary Raynaud’s syndrome).
