Side effect and interaction
So far, no more serious side effects have been reported with Melissa. However, an effect of individual ingredients of lemon balm on the thyroid gland was found. When treating thyroid diseases, the doctor should be consulted in any case before taking Melissa. The use of Lemon Balm, in high doses, can reduce the ability to react. Allergic reactions to components of lemon balm are possible.
